What We Treat
Every rodent species,handled at the source.
The species sets the strategy. A house mouse plan is not a brown rat plan, and a commercial kitchen programme is not a domestic plan. Every job starts with correct identification and a written treatment route.
Black Rats
Occasional in dockside and warehouse properties around Liverpool and Birkenhead. Climbing species - proofing has to extend to roof voids, soffits and cable runs, not just ground level.
House Mice
Squeeze through 6mm gaps and breed fast. Treated with targeted baits or snap-traps depending on the household, then sealed at every penetration the survey identifies.
Field & Wood Mice
Move indoors as temperatures drop. Common in rural Cheshire and the outer Wirral. Proofing focuses on garages, outbuildings and lower-floor cable entries.
Grey Squirrels
Controlled under the Invasive Alien Species Order - we hold the necessary authorisations. Common in lofts; usually paired with our Loft Pest Control package.

How do I know if I have rats or mice?
The first signs are usually droppings along skirting boards, scratching or scurrying sounds at night, a strong ammonia-like smell, gnawed food packaging or cables, and greasy 'smear marks' along regular runs. We carry out a free on-site survey and identify the species, the population and the entry points.
What rodents do you treat?
Brown (Norway) rats, black (ship) rats, house mice, field mice and - under the Invasive Species Order - grey squirrels. Each species needs a different baiting strategy, monitoring period and proofing plan. We never use one-size-fits-all treatments.
Are your treatments safe around children and pets?
Yes. We use tamper-resistant lockable bait stations, target baits to the species, and follow the CRRU UK code of best practice. Where children or pets are present we lead with snap-traps, contraception baits or proofing-first programmes rather than open rodenticide.
How many visits will I need?
A standard rodent programme is three visits over 21–28 days - initial treatment, mid-programme check and final inspection with proofing sign-off. Heavier infestations or commercial premises with audit requirements may need a longer monitored programme.
Do you proof the property or just kill the rodents?
Both. Killing the colony without sealing entry points is wasted money - a new population moves in within weeks. Every job includes a proofing survey: soffits, air bricks, cable and pipe penetrations, door sweeps, drain caps and external bait-protected zones.
Do you work with landlords and letting agents?
Yes - frequently. We provide insurer-formatted reports, tenant-friendly visit windows, signed treatment records for the property file and direct invoicing to the agent or managing company. We're a regular contractor for several Wirral and Liverpool letting portfolios.
